I was nervous he was going to rip it in the middle of his blessing ( he is quite a little ripper, sorry Royce) but he did so good! He did a little chatting but he was such a good boy.

Scott was kind enough to take some pictures of us since we were all dressed up, and I actually really liked this one. There are not many pictures from the past 2 months of anything besides Royce. Not that I mind, at all, but it's probably good to get mom and dad in a couple every once in a while.

I decided to ask Scott to take pictures every month on the same chair, like I've seen on other blogs. So this one is one of his 1 month pictures. Oh so handsome.

And this is one of his 2 month pictures. So much bigger! And Scott didn't even have to photo shop him for hours to try to get rid of his baby acne like the first month. Yay that he's grown out of that! Not so cute.

And these are a couple more from the same night. He thinks he is so big!

Seriously, precious. I hope I'm not annoying that I only blog to put pictures of him on here, but

I'm a mom and I'm obsessed. Whaa he's getting so big! I'm liking that he is sleeping more at night (sometimes 5 hours at a time! Whoo hoo!) But I'm not so excited that he's growing so fast. I'm excited that he is reacting more to things around him, but sad that he's not just a teeny baby. We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed 10lbs 12oz! Such a big boy. Anyways, we love him and are having so much fun!

Mr. Royce

So I thought I would get to posting pictures of baby Royce a lot sooner than now, but turns out being a mom takes a lot of time and energy. We are very on top of things and prepared.

My dear friend Erica came over and helped me place a few things around the room. I thought I was prepared for her to come over but I guess I thought I had a lot more stuff than I did. So she worked with what I gave her and only one f bomb was dropped. Pretty impressive. She made that frame with chicken wire in like 5 minutes.

Pictures are a little out of order, this one is just what it looks like when you first walk in the room. He has lots of books that I'm excited to read him. Maybe my kids will enjoy reading more than I do.

Erica also hung the little arrangement on the wall and I love it! Like I said, I really didn't have much to work with so I was a little nervous but I really really like the way it turned out.

Then my mother in law and grandma in law came over to help me make the crib bumper. I think it was a little more work than we all bargained for. Luckily Kay is a master seemstress and Grandma Guttery has an eye for design, because I really like the way it turned out. I somehow managed to cut the fabric so wrong that when we were done and putting it on the crib there was a good foot of extra bumber. My math skills need sharpened. So Grandma G. suggested we just rotate it and Kay was able to trim the ends to make everything fit and I actually like it better than the original plan!

So anyways, that is the nursery. If I don't go into labor today on my own then I will be checking into the hospital at 7:30 tomorrow morning to be induced. I'm very nervous but so SO excited! Wish me luck, my Dr. says it will likely be a long process since my baby apparently thinks my body is a really good house and doesn't see the need to come out. Sorry baby

Slowly but surely

Me and Chad live in a 2 bedroom condo. Not too much space. Since we've been married the 2nd bedroom has been an office/craft room/storage/crap room. It was the room that I would throw the stuff that I didn't know what the heck to do with into. When we found out we were pregnant, we knew we were going to have to turn that room into a baby nursery and we pretty much put it off as long as we could. This is the room once we pulled all the junk out of every nook and cranny. Yikes.
Well, we made the walk-in closet into the new "office" which means it is teensy tiny. Also means that we had to purge and organize all the stuff we had been ignoring for 2 years. I'll post before and after pictures of that later.

So we got the room to an empty space so Chad could paint. We decided to do a wall of stipes and I just have to say I'm lucky Chad is more patient than I am.

He used a laser level to make the lines as straight as possible and put up frog tape to make the stripes, which we learned about from Erica. That was the hard part. Once that was up the painting went really fast.

And here is the finished product! He still needs to do the crown and base so the top and bottom will be clean. I love it! Opinion, should we do the other wall striped too or just the one wall? I'm so excited to be able to put our baby stuff in the room so I can have my living room back.

Also, I had my baby shower over the weekend and I was hair brained and forgot to ask someone to take pictures. So this is 1 of 2 pictures taken after the shower was over. Sad. But it was really fun to see everyone and open all my loot!

Hawaii. A little late.

So last month Chad's parents took the family to Hawaii. We went to Maui and it was AMAZING. I definitely want to go back as much as possible.

I've had a pretty hard time uploading pictures to blogger and I hated to do it because I could only do 4 pictures at a time. Then my really smart friend Erica told me to just upload 4 at a time then do it again until I had all the pictures I wanted. How did that never cross my mind? Not sure. So now this will be one of those annoying posts with a thousand pictures! Yes!

So my pictures are a little out of order but you won't know the difference so who cares? This is one our way up to the volcano. I'm probably not going to insert the names of the places we went to because most of the places sound the same to me and I certainly don't know how to spell them. Anyways, very pretty drive. We were in the clouds (not romantically dork) for a few hours. This part of the island has ranches and horses and stuff so that was fun to see. I don't really think cowboy when I think of Hawaii.

Here's Chad's parents at the Banyan? tree in one of the towns. That is the original trunk but the danglies coming down from the branches go down to the ground and become trunks too. So the tree ends up having tons of trunks. Pretty neat.

Here is the beach that was right outside of our condo. It was perhaps one of the best parts of the trip. After we would get home from a long adventurous day we could just walk down to the little beach and watch the sun come down sipping a diet coke.

A little side story: My older sister Becca has a thing about textures. She cannot handle weird textures like at all. One Christmas when we were in Sierra Vista we went to Kartchner Caverns and I was walking next to Becca and she said she felt light headed when we were next to the "popcorn wall" so I went to tell my parents and I turned around and she was on the ground. My dad was holding her up but she was limp and gone. So they had to wheel her out and try to find a throw up bag for her so she didn't contaminate the "living cave". She almost made it out.

So anyways, I saw this wall in Hawaii and decided to take a picture for her.

You're welcome Bec. And it's kind of for you too Erica. And Eloise.

One night me and Chad took the minivan and went to find some shaved ice. Ever since I went a few years ago with cousies Kimbi and Holly I have been a little on the obsessed side. Like when Chad's parents told us we were going to Hawaii my first thought was not the beach, it was of sweet delicious shaved ice. The first one I got the day after we got there was a total let down. Basically it was a snow cone. Still tasty but I began to think I was crazy for my obsession. But the night me and Chad went we partook of the sweetest ambrosia I have ever tasted. My mouth is watering. I forgot to take a picture probably because I was busy inhaling my treat. Anyways, the town was really cute and we were offered weed more than once. I thought you could tell I was pregnant but maybe not?

One day was spent on the road to Hana, which is basically like a thirty mile drive that takes about 7 hours. It was really pretty and we took our time getting there so we could stop and take pictures and walks and what not.

For some reason Austin kept ending up on top of the van.

Sometimes I wish I had one of those brutally honest husbands so that I didn't end up with 32 picture in beautiful surroundings with me in this unfortunate ensamble. Seriously, the day I take millions of pictures this is what I'm wearing. Ugh

We walked to this really pretty and tall waterfall. Not going to lie, I thought I was going to die on the hike. But thanks to my crocs (I seriously bought crocs for the trip. Lol) i made it in one piece. You can't tell how tall it is in this picture but I think it was like 400 feet or something. Chad made me stand under it and I felt like I was being sprayed with a fire hose.

This is the boys getting on the boat for their scuba trip. I decided after snorkeling that I have no desire to scuba. Snorkeling is definitely enough ocean life for me. Me and the parents went to the beach and layed out while they were gone. Definitely more up my ally.

And here we are just hanging out. There were some surfers so we watched them for a little while.

Seriously so much fun. We also did a kayaking tour. We got in our little boats and paddled around and got out to snorkel and swim with the turtles...and SHARKS! Yes I saw a shark and was only like 15 feet from it. Our guide said to not be afraid of them so I stayed pretty calm. For some reason I always trust strangers. Probably not the best idea. Me and Chad were the only ones to flip our boat, probably because I have a strong sense of balance and coordination. Anyways, sorry this is freaking long. You probably didn't even make it to the end. Don't lie.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chachelchatter.blogspot.com/2010/10/hawaii-little-late.html' title='Hawaii. August was crazy with birthdays so I'll just post about the most important (mariah's). No offense everyone else. And we went to Hawaii last week with Chad's family so I need to post about that! If anyone can let me know how to upload more than 3 pictures per post that would be great. Have a lovely day.

Baby!

So anyone who might consider ever looking at this blog I'm sure already knows we're expecting a little love bug. I'm currently 19 weeks, which makes my due date New Years Eve. Poor baby. Me at 17 week, and about 15 lbs. lighter.

So I pretty much always pictured myself with a little girl. Especially since my sweetest lover girl Mariah was born. So fun with all her wigs (head bands) and painted toes and girlfriend outfits. Plus she is freaking hilarious and cracks everyone (including herself) up all the time. And she is a baby genius.

But alas, we had our ultrasound on Monday and found out we are expecting a little boy! His name thus far is Man Child. I (and my entire family) had a sneaking suspicion there was a little man growing in my belly so I convinced myself that this was true so that I wouldn't be surprised (sad) when I found out that he is indeed a boy. When they told me he was a boy I said I know. But it is amazing how the baby all the sudden is no longer "it", it's "he". So anyways, we're so freaking excited for our man child. My amazingly crafty sissy Ferfy already said she is going to make him some little man ties. And Becca already went shopping for him and bought him some handsom shorts and button up shirts and the most amazing little jams I've ever seen. (They have little shorts that look like boxer breifs.) So much to my surprise, there are actually cute boy clothes. You just have to look harder. Also, Chad was pretty much one of the most AMAZING little boys I've ever seen so hopefully he comes out looking just like his dad!

Let's try this again

Hello world. I decided for the new year I would try posting once in a while. Perhaps once a week? Considering I made that goal 3 weeks ago and this is the first time I actually decided to type something on this damned thing, we'll just have to see how that goes. Anyways, I found my camera which I was sure was left on Mt. Graham from roundtable (if you are not an Allred cousin that will mean nothing to you). But I found it in a purse in my closet, which means I looked really hard in my really clean and organized closet. Any who, now that I have found my camera perhaps I will take some pictures and even maybe put them on my computer, and from there I might put some on my blog. I don't know, sounds like a lot of work. So we will just have to see. Happy New Year!

Waaah!

So this hot little cowboy ( the one on the right) is out of town for the week. You should too.

So there is one little thing that I can not get my mind off lately. My sister has the sweetest little girlfriend growing inside of her belly. I am literally dying to meet her. I am obsessed. All I care to look at while shopping in a store or on the internet is little sweet girlfriend clothes and accessories. Chad tried to tell me what I buy now will be out of style by the time she is born. Nice try Chad. I love her and I'm so excited to steel her from her mom every chance I get. If anyone has any secret baby shops that are amazing that they would like to share, please do. This is a first for us and I need ideas. I've already combed through Nordstrom, Baby Gap, Old Navy, and Glitter Box. I need more!

ANOTHER SISSY!!!!!

So last week my little brother Trevor and his beautiful g-friend Adrienne got engaged! The most exciting part about it (for myself, Becca, and Jenny) is that we get to have

another sissy!

Aren't sisters just the best? Yes. They are. And we are so lucky because since Trev and Adrienne have been together for quite some time, we already know that we absolutely love her and could not be happier for her to officially be part of our family.

Aren't they really an attractive couple? So they are planning the wedding for the end of January. I know, it's quick but me and Chad had a 2 1/2 month engagement too and it turned out wonderful. Plus Adrienne is so easy going that I'm sure it will all come together. Cinchy. So anyways...

Yay for weddings and for new sissies!

Now we just have to make sure Tanner marries a cool girl...

GRRRRR!!!!

Rachel

+

Blogger

______

HATE

(Still having trouble uploading pictures)

I'M BACK...(again)

Ok so maybe it's been a shade under a year since I've posted. SORRY, get off my back. So anyways, a few things have happened since then. First thing, I moved into that condo that I continually posted about. About 6 months after that, I got engaged to Mr. Chad Hatch. About 2 and 1/2 months after that, June 3rd to be exact, I became Mrs. Rachel Hatch. Little side note-Chad introduced me in church our first week as Rachel Jones. And just last night we were doing insurance quotes online and he typed me in as Rachel Jones. I guess he's still not used to it? So Amanda gave us our wedding pictures last week and I am IN LOVE with them. She is simply amazing. I thought I would post a few. To show her talent. Enjoy!

Due to unforseen technical difficulties (being that I suck at computers), I could only upload this one picture. The weather is a lot cooler so you can actually stand being outside, and with the whole fall atmosphere, there is quite a bit of stuff you can do outside. Which is fantastic since the summer has been a wee bit on the long side this year. I want to share some October happenings that I am simply tickled pink about. (In no particular order. .. Except for the first one.)

First and foremost, the AZ state fair will be rolling into town in a matter of days!!!!! I know many people do not share my enthusiasm and I know the reasons: it's dirty, it's greasy, there are weird people, it's too expensive for how trashy it is, etc. But these reasons mean nothing to me. I simply cannot wait to walk through the gates, head straight for the one Indian Fry Bread stand that I crave all year long, take some photo booth pictures, see the freak shows (ie-giant steer and giant horse), maybe go on a couple rides, and this year, for the first time, wait in the mile long line for the ferris wheel. The one that Erica requests every year and we have yet to wait in the line for it. And sometime in between all those stops I will need a funnel cake, pickle, deep fried snickers, and possibly some french fries. This post would be a lot more acceptable about 3 years ago when my body did not yet show that I love this type of food. Now it is like, oh, so that's why...Oh well, I am so excited. And after all, the state fair only comes aroung once a year.

What is this, the 4th or 5th annual pumpkin carving contest? Whatever it is, it has become a permanent stamp on the Halloween season for us. Kristy started it a few years back and now I go the whole year with what I am going to carve in the back of my mind. I have yet to have an idea for what I will be carving more than about 6 hours before the competition begins. And believe me, it is a competition. We are hard core and if you plan to attend, don't be offended when people laugh and tell you yours sucks if it does. I have had to toughen up because there has not been a year that mine hasn't sucked. Hence my "under the sea" pumpkin. Can't tell which one that is? It's the one between the really good spider (Becca's) and the professional jack o'lantern with scary teeth (Chad's).

One might wonder, what does that amazing seat cushion have to do with October? Well...the end of the month will be when I actually finally get to use this and all the rest of the amazing house decor that I have accumilated over the past 13 months! Yes, my condo is finally going to be finished and I will actually be able to move in. It will be a small miracle when that finally occurs. All biotching aside, I am actually glad that I will be moving in when the weather is not one million degrees outside and therefore I will not hate my life quite as much. I need to recruit painters. Preferably Melissa, Amanda, Sara, Laura, Emily, and anyone else who has claimed to be OCD about things of this nature. Actually, beggers can't be chosers, I will take anyone willing to help me out, no matter the skill level.

And although this trip has not yet been planned, I am going to need an El Ray 5a with an egg on top sometime real soon. I know that it was closed for a couple weeks for "rest, relaxation, and renovation". But I believe it is scheduled to reopen this weekend. So anyone up for a trip to Globe, just let me know.

Ulysses (a.k.a. Shamu)

So last weekend we went to Sea World for Erica's 23rd birthday. It was pretty much the funnest weekend ever. Although I am obsessed with sea animals I am quite terrified of them. The first time I saw shamu this trip I screamed. Me, Holly and Chad went to this part of the tank to take pictures of us with him. This was very difficult for me and my heart was racing everytime he swam by. This particular killer whale's name is Ulysses. He is the biggest Shamu there. Which I believe makes him their biggest animal. He was amazing. He will continue to be refered to as Shamu, not Ulysses.

Sometimes I wonder why I am afraid of Shamu. Look at him, he is such a sweetheart. Then I remember that one, he is a whale, and two, he is a KILLER whale. Killer being the main word. He would eat me in one gulp. Or just rip me to pieces. I think I would rather the gulp. We were so impressed with ourselves for getting the picture with him right behind us. It took a few practice shots.
Holly with Shamu. This is actually the picture that inspired us to keep taking more pictures. Like trying to pose with Shamu.
Like this one. Holly is trying to sit on his back and be riding him. This entertained us for a good 20 minutes. Mostly because we were out of the wreched sun. And because we were having a photo shoot with the biggest animal at Sea World.
Chad petting him.
Perfection. This was the scariest moment of the trip for me. I am seriously struggling to keep my hand on the glass and not run away. I don't know if you can see the nervousness on my face but look, I am petting his nose!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chachelchatter.blogspot.com/2007/08/ulysses-aka-shamu.html' title='Ulysses (a.k.a. The bad new is that yesterday I recieved a letter in the mail from the office of Tesoro. Which is the community I am having my condo built in. The letter basically said "We are trying to have the homes ready by the end of Septmber but don't hold your breath because it is not going to happen. Sucker!" I had to wait until today to post about it so that my blog wouldn't be rated R. Because this basically upsets me. Alot. But I decided to do some pictures of it so that everyone can see the progress. This was a couple months ago, probably about a month after the origional "finish" date. My garage is the one in the middle. Becca and Scott's is the 2 car garage. I don't think I had ever been in a 1 car garage until mine. It is miniscule.
We went and saw the progress on Saturday, which made me very excited. This is the veiw from my front door. That kitchen/going to the backyard wall is going to be painted a light minty green. It will be amazing. And I think the rest of the downstairs will be just some boring neutral color. Except for the half bath which will be kelly green.
These walls will also be the minty green. Which I am hoping doesn't clash with the cupboards. At first I was nervous they were to reddish but when I saw them on Saturday I decided I am very excited about them. I know, the lights are hideous, Chad has brought that to my attention repeatedly. Luckily he is an electition and can fix that for me asap.
This is the stairway that I am very nervous to paint. I am already dreading the task. I took a couple of pictures upstairs but they were not exciting, just boring white rooms. So this post actually just put me in a much better mood just by thinking about decorating again. I guess I can look at the bright side and say I have more time to save money. Whatever.

I am slightly obsessed with plates

So as many of you know, I am in the process of having a condo built. I signed on it September 3, 2006. The closing date is September 30, 2007. Over a year later. And me and Becca were talking to a girl that is moving in there too and she said that she was told that hers would not be ready to move into until October. So for DR Horton's sake, mine had better be done by the said closing date. Or there will be hell to pay. So during this past year, I have become extremely obsessed with shopping for house stuff. I have been collecting all of my goods and putting them in the corner of Jenny's room (since she doesn't use it and just sleeps in my room). I thought that I had a pretty good sized collection since her room has been pretty much over taken by almost a years worth of shopping. Until I went thru my decor the other day and realized that 3/4 of that stuff is for my kitchen. And 3/4 of my kitchen stuff is plates. Somehow every time I go shopping a stack of plates ends up in my hands on its way to the cash register. I told Chad that I need to go house shopping and buy things I actually need and he asked,"Oh you mean besides plates?" I told him to shut it. Because they are so cute, I will just have to decorate with them...like a grandma. It would be a shame for them to just sit on a shelf in the cupboard hidden. So here is my collection.

So the bigger plates are from Target. The $2.50 section. I also got the bowls that match. And the smaller lighter blue plate is from Ross. Don't judge me.

These pink plates are also from the $2.50 section at Target. Mind you each plate I am showing you I have at least 4 more just like it.

These cute plates are from Malia. She got them for me for Christmas and I am very excited to use them.

These might be some of my favorite. These are just a couple of the treasures I found while antique shopping in Globe. I got another one that is like the roundy one on the left. They are more serving platters than plates.

Because I still am not a pro at this I sometimes accidentally erase things that I do not mean to. Like the picture of my BBQ plates. They are plastic and have blue flowers on them. I cannot figure out how to put the picture back on here and put it in the right place. So you will just have to use your imagination.

Globe is Amazing

Globe is pretty much our new favorite hang out. Chad and I had a great idea that included going to El Ray for dinner, and then going to the Globe drive ins after to catch a movie. Well, the idea came crashing down when it started raining and we realized that the drive ins would probably be a bad idea in that weather. So we settled for El Ray buttered chips and salsa, a green chile cheese crisp, and a #5a with an egg on top. It was most satisfying. Afterwards we decided to drive around the wonderful town (as this has become one of our favorite pass times). All in all it was a very fun road trip.

As we were driving around the town Chad saw a javelina (however you spell it). So we parked on the bridge for them to try to find it again. This is when Erica got in the front seat and drove off. We are 16 and hilarious. We even drove by them again so they would think we were going to pick them up...But we didn't. Hilarious.

So on the way home it started lightning like crazy. Talk about mother nature's fireworks. So we pulled over so we could watch the show. There was a way trashy motor home that pulled over on the other side of the road to watch too. It was amazing. And it was at this time that I decided I wanted to become a storm chaser. Just look at how good of pictures I took. It was also during this time that we all realized how big of nerds we all are. And how much we don't care about that little fact. So basically, everyone needs to take a little day trip to Globe and if I get negative comments about Globe or El Ray you are no longer invited to this blog.

P.S. Horray!

So My little sissy Jenny has been pretty much nonexistant for about two and a half weeks. And I simply do not know what to do with myself without her here! First of all, she went on a cruise with her work (the Wright House) and was gone 5 days. The next day she left with the rest of us to go to Sierra Vista for a couple of days for the 4th. The very next day she left with her friend Brittany for Utah for a family reunion, then EFY. Mind you the couple of days she was here Becca was in Paris. So us girls have not been all together for like 3 weeks almost! We are going thru major sissy withdrawls. I don't even know how the other 2 are handling it to be quite honest. Because except for a few days in between I have at least had one of them here. But they haven't seen eachother at all since Jenny left on her cruise. Both of my sissies are amazing. But since Jenny is getting home today I decided to focus on her wonderfulness.

Jennifer Jones: AKA Jenny, Ferfy, Ferfous, Gay wad, Cinderella, Kanga, other Sissy Although Jenny is absolutely beautiful, she still never shies away from the chance to be a faggot. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to take a picture of Becca and Scott in Sedona without Jenny jumping in front of the camera at the last second looking like a creep.
Jenny is pretty much the guitar master and boys fall at her feet when they realize that she can play. Not only can she play but she can sing too. And she is actually GOOD. Like really good. I might live vicariously thru her and her talents.
So Jenny is funny and talented. And she has amazing looks. This is at our Ramsey Canyon 4th of July photo shoot. I know I sound like I am bragging, which I pretty much am, but look at her. Isn't she so cute?
And her playing the guitar again. Just playing while the rest of us sang along on the 4th.
Perhaps the best thing about Jenny is that she is not afraid to be ugly every once in a while. She is going to be upset that I put this picture on because she looks like Samara from the Ring. But I just have to prove that she is human. Which makes the rest of us feel just a little better about ourselves when we are in her presence. I get to go pick her up in approximately 3 hours and I am counting them down. Becca is coming with me and it is going to be a fantastic reunion!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://chachelchatter.blogspot.com/2007/07/jenny-gets-home-today-horray.html' title='Jenny gets home today! Erica reminds me of this everytime I see her. I think the reason I am so hesitant to post is because I am very much intimidated by the rest of you pros. So take my lack of posts as a compliment K?
Anyways, since I did decide to post I decided it would be about my lovely 4th of July. It's a week late. So sue me. I of course went to Sierra Vista to celebrate and of course Sierra Vista was bomb. Per usual. The only thing that could have made it better would have been if my dear sissy Becca and her hubby Scott would have been there. But they were in Paris. Not very patriotic if you ask me. But it was ok because I talked Chad into coming with me. I didn't believe he was actually going to come until we were in Sacaton. But he pulled thru. Yay. Sorry to the Holbrook clan. So here are some pictures of the festivities.

This is a picture of us at the annual ward breakfast that takes place at the ballfields by my cousins' house. As usual, Holly was asked to play the piano. She did an excellent job playing while the primary kids sang. Lance is doing the Gila Hank if anyone was wondering. I realize now that this picture is sideways but I am afraid that if I try to fix it I will once again erase all of my hard work and end up going to bed angry that I wasted another hour on this blasted thing without a post to prove it. So go easy on me. Besides, has anyone done this pose in the past 5 years? This is the lovely Ramsey Canyon. Ever heard of it? It is only the hummingbird capitol of the world. And it is right behind my cousins' house. I don't know if I have ever been to Sierra Vista without "driving up Ramsey". Except when I went for Lance and Chelsea's reception. Because it was night time and only for a couple of hours.
And this is at the actual fireworks show. Everyone takes blankets and lawn chairs and sits on this field. We were there a couple of hours early to get good seats so we were very ready for the fireworks by the time they started. There was a big army band playing patriotic music in front of us. And 2 weiner dogs playing to the left.
